Chapter Member Spotlight - Jimmy & Sarah Brown I have been riding motorcycles since I was 4. About two weeks after my dad took the training wheels off of my bicycle, he brought home a Yamaha YZ50, the YZinger. I got my first street bike when I was 15. A Suzuki GS650. I appreciate all manner of motorcycles, but since that first inline 4, I have preferred V-Twin cruisers. I’m on my 12th off-road bike, and my 12th street bike. Sarah started riding when she met me in 2002.

How often do riders get lost in the scenery or music playing? It’s not hard when you’re riding somewhere new or your favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd song is blasting from your speakers. Isn’t part of the fun being lost in the moment or making memories while out on the ride? I think we can all say we’ve been guilty of it a few times. Let’s talk about focusing and how it impacts braking while out riding. Braking consists of three separate parts: Perception, Reaction, and Braking Distance

Chapter Member Spotlight - Mark & Micki Babineaux I’ve been riding since my High School days, (in other words a long time). The first scooter that I had was a Vespa. Then in “73” I graduated to a Yamaha. As the years flew by, I went to a CB 360 Honda, a 500 Suzuki, and then a Honda 750 ACE. I kept that Honda for 10 years and rode it 7,500 miles.

Chapter Member Spotlight - Brad Vidrine Well, Mine is a long story with lots of twists and turns. As most folks, I had lots of dreams. Both 4 wheeled and 2 wheeled. Back in the day when muscle cars were actually fairly commonplace and cheap, I owned several which are now considered classics. I was able to live a lot of those dreams, but in the end, the 2 wheeled dream won out.

Chapter Member Spotlight - Earline Bonnet My name is Earline Bonnet, sometimes known as the lady with a dog. Until eight years ago, I had never been on a motorcycle. I always thought riding would be fun but my husband had no interest, so I became busy as a wife, mother of three children, and an elementary school teacher. Now I'm retired, a widow, the children are married and living a life of their own. Life changes.

Chapter Member Spotlight - Chuck & Peggy Coon Peggy and I have been Cajun H.O.G. members since 2011. We moved to Louisiana from Pennsylvania, retiring after 41 years as a Senior Project Manager for a construction company, to be closer to my son and his family. I bought my first Harley in 1964, a 1948 Panhead with a suicide shifter. Currently I am riding a 2015 Road Glide. I have ridden in all 50 states and all 10 Canadian Provinces.
